• What is included: All lodging from your arrival night through the last night of the tour. Transportation while on the tour (you must make and pay for your own flight to and from Denver, Colorado).  The tour fee also includes all entry fees and permits needed in the various slot canyons. Meals and incidentals are on your own.

Photographic opportunities in the depths of these canyons are quite amazing with various colors of red, orange, yellow, blue, grey  and tan in waves and stripes filling your lens! If you’ve ever wanted to hike in these wonders of nature, but didn’t know how or what to do, your answer is here! From the scenic Little Wild Horse , High Spur and Zebra slots in Utah, to the famous Upper and Lower Antelope slot canyons in Arizona, this tour is a slot canyon lovers paradise!

This tour has a high fitness level, as much strenuous hiking, scrambling, bridging and chimney techniques are used to get you to the places you’ve only read about. We will not enter into any slot canyons where rappelling is needed. 

We will provide a list of suggested equipment needed and will help you with techniques in the field used to capture amazing slot canyon images.  Contact Roger or Caryn for any “suggested equipment” questions.

Itinerary:

• Day 1: Little Wild Horse slot canyon, Utah (overnight in Green River, Utah)
• Day 2: High Spur slot canyon, Utah (overnight in Escalante, Utah)  (FUN adventure to this one!)
• Day 3: Zebra slot canyon, and Devil's Garden (for star trail photography), Utah (overnight in Escalante, Utah)
• Day 4: Peekaboo and Spooky slot canyons, Utah (overnight in Kanab, Utah)
• Day 5: Upper Antelope slot canyon, Arizona  (overnight in Page, AZ)
• Day 6: Lower Antelope slot canyon, Arizona (overnight in Page, AZ)
• Day 7: Return to Denver with a surprise hike on the way!

NOTE: This tour requires good climbing shoes, a back pack (one for camera gear and tripod), and a lightweight tripod (for ease of carrying). This tour may also encounter mud and wading through waste deep water in various slot canyons, therefore a dry bag is helpful. Also trekking poles are a huge plus! Weather can also change our itinerary as flash flooding can and often does create extremely dangerous conditions in slot canyons. We will never enter a slot canyon with thunderstorms in the area or over a canyon’s collection area. We will have several alternative slot canyons or activities available if weather prohibits our entering a particular slot.
